Hints & Tips for your Stay
Treatments
Having stayed a few times I would recommend that you book your treatments as far in advance as you can to ensure you get the ones you want at the times you want as they do book up quickly. I would also say when thinking about your treatment times to consider lunch and dinner times and not book so many that you're rushing from one treatment to another. I try to book at most 2 treatments a day, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, that way I can enjoy the treatments but also try some of the classes (see the fitness and wellbeing page on the site for more info on these) and have a relaxed time before and after lunch to enjoy the house and gardens, or even have a nap - which is highly likely after treatments or the relaxation class! It's worth also checking the classes schedule on the site so you can work your treatments round what you want to do on there.
Clothing
You will be supplied with a dressing gown, if you'd prefer one of the larger, plusher ones you can ask to upgrade to one when you book (or when you arrive), or you can bring your own of course! Usually we'll arrive at around 12pm ish and pop in for lunch in our clothes, then afterwards head back to the room to change into a dressing gown and will stay in that dressing gown for the remainder of our stay. We do dress for the 3-course evening meal and it's nice to have something nice, yet comfortable, to wear for that. (Nothing too glam don't worry!) The only other time you would need to be dressed is if you wish to do a fitness or relaxation class or go for a proper walk in the garden (if you just fancy a general stroll dressing gowns are the 'norm') - and so I would recommend that you bring trainers and a tracksuit (or whatever you're comfortable in) so you can do a class if you wish. Swimming costume is also a good idea as the pool is lovely, and if the weathers good you could even sunbath by the river!
For me it's all about relaxation and getting away from it all but if you fancy a fitness break there are loads of classes and activities for you to choose from - check out the website for a full list of classes etc.
Other stuff
They usually run talks in the evening for nutrition, weight loss and all sorts of other things, I think it was handwriting analysis last time we went so if you fancy joining those you can find out more when you get there.
For all other info just check the Champneys website and you can see how gorgeous the venue is and get excited about your stay!
